Hi all!

I have some questions regarding the responses in the 2nd, 3rd ... harmonics of a modulation frequency. If we see significant response in such a frequencies, it means that we have specific neural generators for these response? I mean, I put deep electrodes in the inferior colliculus of rat and saw that these high harmonics responses follow the same pattern of the responses in the modulation frequency. Regarding that the response in the modulation frequency, as shown in some papers, reflects the activity of the neural slice with that characteristic frequency, makes sense to someone that one frequency could recruit the activation of the multiple isofrequency layers?

All the best,

leo
